We are learning to use thinking maps to help us plan our writing. First we write the title in the middle. Next we brainstorm the key words. We use the question words to help us. They are:

• Who 
• What 
• When 
• Where 
• How
• Why

We also brainstorm words that tell us more about the key words and we connect these to the key word. When we colour code the bubbles, it helps us to see which words goes together.
