Creativity - Our Leaf creature stories
First we created our imaginary creatures by using a leaf rubbing as part of the animal's body. We could not use the colour of the leaf in our pictures. This made it stand out. Writing about the creatures made us focus on these goals:
- Learning new vocabulary like habitat and characteristics
- organising our writing into paragraphs
- using creativity while we write
- writing difficult words by sounding out the sounds as we hear them
