WALT write explanations

The class created this brainstorm together and then used the words to record facts that explained why we need rain.

Topic - Why do we need rain?

Rain	What is it?	Where does it come from?	What does it do?	Why do we need it?
	water clear drops of water	falls from the sky dark clouds	wets splatters makes puddles flows	fills tanks hydrates grows plants

Rain comes from the sky. It is in the black clouds. It drops from the sky and it makes the ground wet. The drops splatters and makes puddles. When it rains for a long time it can flow. Rain fills our tanks. It hydrates people so they can stay healthy. Plant grow when they get enough rain.  

We thought that the plan helped us to write the explanation easily.
